BDW is an emerging design studio established in Sydney in 2022.

Lead by Ines Benavente Molina, our team brings more than 25 years of experience in architecture, interior and urban design.
 

Ines is a Registered Architect in Australia, as well as a European Licensed Architect and Urban Designer.

 

She seamlessly blending her practical architectural experience with her passion for education. Currently, Ines teach at two prestigious institutions: the School of Architecture, Design, and Planning at the University of Sydney and the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Macquarie University.


Ines is a highly accomplished and versatile designer, boasting a wealth of experience spanning diverse projects across the private and public sectors in Australia, Europe, the Middle East, and South America. Her extensive portfolio encompasses a wide spectrum of work, including high-end residential properties along with their interior design, urban design, master planning, landscape architecture, mixed-use developments, commercial and industrial projects, large-scale retail establishments, hotel resorts, educational facilities, heritage restoration projects, and the revitalisation of historical cities through urban planning initiatives.

Ines worked as a Design Leader in HDR, Sydney from 2016 to 2019 and as Design Manager in i2C Design & Management in Melbourne. Prior to moving to Australia, she ran her own firm in Spain and worked in senior roles several firms such as L35 or A-cero.

Ines is NSW Representative and Board Member of SRAP, Spanish Researchers in Australia-Pacific Association. 


For five years she was the correspondent in Australia for the Spanish Institute of Architects. Madrid Chapter. COAM/ 2015.

In 2019  Ines was part of the team of the Australian Pavilion in XXII Triennale di Milano which was awarded with the First Prize: The Golden Bee.

In the same year, contributed to the Australian Institute of Architects, as a Juror in the NSW Awards in the Master planning and multi-residential developments categories.

In 2017, as co-chair of the ´40 days of Spanish Architecture in Australia’, with Eva Rodriguez Riestra, Ines brought the “Unfinished” exhibition—2016 Awarded Golden Lion, Venice Architecture Biennale— to the Tin Sheds Gallery in Sydney.
